Text Box: ‘Raj Green’ Indian Sandstone
Indian stone is available in a variety of colours. In this example we have mixed flags and setts of the same colour range. The setts pick out a path to the front door and make the overall paved space appear smaller than it actually is. Narrow gaps between the flags and the use of epoxy mortar ensure neat, weed-free and frost-proof joints.
Text Box: ‘Midnight blue’ Indian Limestone
A surprising combination of slate-like Indian limestone and English sandstone walling stone works to very good effect on this low retaining wall and steps.
Text Box: ‘Fossil’ Indian Sandstone
‘Fossil’ is a blend of shades from almost white to a dark rust colour. The name refers to the fossil imprints, mainly of ancient ferns, that can be seen on many of the stones.
